Home sweet home!

Man it feels good to be back on board again.

Boat jobs and lists have started already and we know there is a lot of ground to cover within the next couple of months. BUT when I stepped out of the hire car and took that first salty sea air breath, it was like coming home.

The boat is in good shape from what we can tell so far. No mould found and no damage from the rain and winds that we heard had come through.

Kids are in bed and Matt and I are just relaxing in the aft cabin, drinking wine and listening to Joni Mitchell's song 'Urge for Going'.

She sings:

Now the warriors of winter they gave a cold triumphant shout

And all that stays is dying and all that lives is getting out

See the geese in chevron flight flapping and racing on before the snow

They've got the urge for going and they've got the wings so they can go.

Those last two lines feel like they were written for us.

We've got the urge for going and we've got the wings so we can go.

 There she be!

Tai already putting his newly learned knots to good use.

Back on board and enjoying simple pleasures like winding an empty winch.

Between the bimini and dodger frames.
We put them back on within minutes.

 All's well on ANJULIA SUE.

Hello jib! We'll put that back on the furler tomorrow.

We still remember how to get in and out of the dinghy!

 Pizzas and wannabe dog children.

Dill pickle on this pizza! Seriously, best thing ever.
Pizza never tasted so good!
