Another Work and Play Day

A good day. A hot day. A tiring day.

Schoolwork went ok this morning although we did have to separate the kids in separate areas of the boat.

Tai was way too interested in what Aila was doing and kept wanting to see what she was up to, not concentrating on his own work.

They eventually earned their free time and played very nicely together on their tablets. But then again, who wouldn't play nicely on a tablet?!

In the early afternoon, I wrote a Marina Quiz for them to complete together.

Basically all I told them was that they had to work together. Happy to say they did and this set them up to be in a happy mood the rest of the day.

I organized and sorted the remaining of our boxes and bags. Lots more room to move around now!

Afterwards I went into Bridgewater and Mahone Bay with the kids and Kam Wong to buy yet more tools and supplies at Canadian Tire.

We also went in search for a playground, something we had promised the kids we would do. Unfortunately the one park we were directed to had lots of those little flies and so we didn't last long.

Matt spent most of his day removing the seacocks, cleaning it up and then lubing it completely before putting them back in. It was not pleasant having to bend and crouch in small places to remove something that has been stuck there for over 30 years!

Some of them are in the most awkward places like behind the toilet or deep in the engine room and it is nearly impossible to access.

A late dinner and bedtime again ... this is beginning to be a regular thing!

Beautiful Mahone Bay

My Marina Quiz for the quiz.

Seacock under that floorboard.

Rocks and sticks picture, one of the tasks kids had to do on their quiz.
