Provisioning and More Boatwork

Today after schoolwork, some free time and lunch, the kids and I went into Bridgewater to get provisions at the Superstore, do a last shop at Canadian Tire, swing by Shoppers Drug Mart and Dollarama, and finally go to the beer and liquor store.

Tomorrow we return the rental car so we needed to stock up on as many items as we can possibly store on the boat.

All the bulky and heavy items like toilet paper and canned goods are good to get now since later on we will be limited to what we can carry and bring back by dinghy to .the boat.

Oh and of course lots of cereal!

I enjoyed driving from place to place, relishing the freedom of the open road. Who knows when the next time we will drive a car?

Matt continued to work on mast stuff today. The kids helped him do some rivetting on the spreaders (the spar used to deflect the shrouds to allow them to better support the mast).

The radar reflector is installed now, as is the steaming light, the spreader boots.

It's 12:45am and he is still out there! I can hear hammering, tapping and screws being fastened. Luckily it's not cold and rainy tonight. He's always been a night owl, being most productive when everyone else is asleep.

Journal writing was hilarious this morning... Tai had a serious case of the sillies.
Likely due to lack of sleep.

Making a bed for a new furry friend.

Canadian Tire delights again!

Unsuspecting shoppers at Dollarama about to get hit.

Trying to figure out the best position for the radar reflector.

Radar reflector is installed!
