Matt woke up with a cold and a pounding headache. This was coming. With all the late nights and erratic schedules and eating patterns, it was bound to happen sooner than later.
Still, he took some medicine and powered through the day to get some stuff done.
After breakfast the kids and I went into Halifax to pick up the remaining sail at North Sails Yacht Shop and return the rental car. A friend, Haley, who is back living in Halifax drove us back to Gold River Marina.
Haley used to volunteer at OCISO, and that's where we met each other. She just radiates happiness and positivity. Thank you Haley for the ride! So good to see you!
It was another late night tonight. It seems with all that is going on with the kids during the day, evening is the only time that we can focus and get work done uninterrupted... Together.
As we were feeding one of the halyard lines up through the mast via the messenger line, it came apart and now it is very difficult to get that halyard through without something guiding it.
We tried several other options like feeding a stronger more do just wire like through the mast to act as the messenger line. No luck.
We called it quits at midnight. Best to sleep on it.
