First Anchor!

After breakfast and schoolwork this morning, we set off to do a bit of sailing. We headed towards the mouth of the river but got turned back due to the heavy fog.

We went upriver instead, hoisting the jib, and then decided to try anchoring since the forecast was going to be relatively calm for tonight.

We then went to the Lahave bakery and bookstore for some yummy treats and coffee. We also brought some books to giveaway and walked out with a few more free ones ourselves.

Tonight Aila is having a sleepover with Gong Gong at his motel. Special treat to be sleeping on land in her own bed!

This evening, Tai took Matt and I out in the dinghy, driving it like a pro already! He's been begging to drive it, and today was the day!

Afterwards Tai and I had a sunset swim off the boat. So refreshing and not too salty.

I can't wait to do more of that again!

Fog chasing us up the river!

Fog hovered around all day. Still didn't prevent us from going out.

Back at the awesome Lahave Bakery.

Tai has been pleading with us to drive the dinghy.
Finally today we let him. Think he's hooked.

Anjulia Sue at anchor tonight at Lahave River. A first for us on this boat!

Evening swim off the boat!
